Despite many setbacks and sinful temptations, five explosive dancers from Soweto cling to their faith in a beautiful life. They bite into everything beautiful, which makes them ‘unbreakable’. Through a mix of pantsula and bone breaking – two forms of South African street dance – they tell their personal story, growing up in a township in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This impressive and humorous performance is a powerful mix of dance, vocals, visuals and a soundtrack of melodic Afrohouse and pumping South African Amapiano beats.

Unbreakable is a collaboration between Rotterdam choreographer Lloyd Marengo, London-based theater director Jonzi D and the five dancers of Soweto Skeleton Movers from Johannesburg. Lloyd Marengo is one of the founders of Hiphophuis, he has worked with Scapino Ballet and Conny Janssen Danst, among others.
