At a difficult turning point in his personal and professional life choreographer Florent Mahoukou returns to the city of Pointe Noire where, for him, everything began with dance. His native country has changed very little and nothing is offered to people to get out of precariousness. Only informal activities allow them to survive. ‘Face to Face is about self-questioning with a desire to understand life, where resourcefulness borders on art. Face to Face is a combination of a dance film and a live performance. The dance film is set on the beach and in the streets of the city of Pointe Noir in Congo. Choreographer and dancer Florent Mahoukou dances in a live performance in dialogue with the dance film.
