At Afrovibes, Ghassan El Hakim presents Gnaoua Again! You probably know Ghassan from Kabareh Cheikhats. In this latest work he collaborates with the world-famous Gnaoua master Maalem Abdellah El Gourd. This co-production with Female Economy explores his childhood memories and the taboos within his family. Ghassan introduces you to the rich Gnaoua music, rooted in Morocco’s slavery past. The dramaturgy is in the hands of Adelheid Roossen, with whom he also collaborated this summer on Urban Safar Tanja. Expect an unforgettable experience full of magical rituals and deafening silences.
