In our history, we see many white men but few (coloured) women. With music, dance, spoken word and theatre, Forget to Remember puts down underexposed women from the colonial and slavery past as inspiration. The performance tells personal stories that show how the power of these women passes from generation to generation and what this means for the players. What stories of female heroes have survived? Which women changed history and can be role models for us today?
A storytelling concert about the role of “archetypal mothers” connecting African, Asian, Caribbean and European stories from history.
