Eva Skeete MC Leed - singer/songwriter (Netherlands)

Eva Skeete MC Leed is a singer / songwriter from Amsterdam. Eva has developed a unique way of telling stories with her music. Her style is inspired by Reggae, Soul, Funk and Jazz. She lives under a personal mantra: ‘My guitar is my therapist, my music is my therapy, my voice is my medium’.

Mariseya - singer-songwriter Afro/R&B/Fusion (Netherlands/Ghana)

Mariseya is an Afro / R & B / Fusion singer-songwriter from the Netherlands with Ghanaian roots. She describes her music as AfroRnB which clearly reflects her love for RnB / soul and afromusic. With these two influences she contributes to creating her style of afro music and brings afrobeat and R&B together. Vibe is an important part of her music and her performance. Mariseya was born in The Hague and started singing at a young age. Besides her solo career she also sings as lead singer in the band Arp Frique and Family. With the band she performed at festivals such as Lowlands, Nortseajazz, Eurosonic and toured in Indonesia.

Ivan Words – spoken word (Netherlands)

One of the most active spoken word poets in Rotterdam.Ivan Words by accident became an expressionist and a writer on purpose. He expresses himself in spoken word, theater, music, presentation, workshops / teaching and creative commercial texts. He started in 2012 with the first Poetry Circle 010 in the Hiphophuis. In addition to his frequent performances as spoken word poet, he gives workshops, was co-host at Radio Brasa and house poet for FunX. He was a speaker at TEDx and wrote the text for the Redbull × Samsung series ‘Speaking’. Together with Tyler Koudijzer and Patrick Ribeiro he forms "Barguijs".

Nana Adjoa - music indiepop (Netherlands)

Dutch-Ghanaian Nana Adjoa, born Nana Effa-Bekoe, is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. Her melancholic indie pop is full of poetic lyrics and exciting layers. Nana played in Sue The Night, was part of the band A Polaroid View and performed with Janne Schra. Her debut EP "Down At The Root" was released November 2017. If her songs meet Nana's standards and are allowed out into the world, these are songs that makes an impression! Nana Adjoa plays a small set at Afro_Vibes program in the Kunsthal Rotterdam. This fall, Nana will release her anticipated debut album ‘Big Dreaming Ants’ and will give a special Corona proof concert in Paradiso in November.

Afrovibes regularly organizes Q&As with artists. In short post show talks / Q&A’s we talk about the creative process of the performances that are shown and the subjects that come up. Each Q&A is presented by an experienced host. This year the hosts for the Q&A’s are Quinsy Gario, Dionne Verwey, Dorothy Blokland, Bright Richards and Jennifer Muntslag
