Traditional to jazz to swinging African. South African singer and entertainer Thandi Vilikazi performs every evening in the Township Café, turning it into a club that hosts a South African party. Thandi, who sang and choreographed in musicals like Sarafina, performs also together with Poppie Dladla, former singer/dancer in the Afrovibes Band.

 Sean Bergin
Saxophonist Sean Bergin composes and plays a warm shimmering melting pot style of music, that embraces the whole world. His main source for inspiration remains South Africa, where he was born. Sean Bergin presents two jazz concerts in the Township Café, a great opportunity to hear his recently composed South African jazz.

Throughout the festival, enjoy world music DJ sets from rumba to afrobeat and everything in between by DJ Afri Cathy of Afri-Koka, DJ John Armstrong with his South African Funk Experience, DJ Cal Jader of Movimientos and the legendary DJ Russ Jones. Also, pop-up performances from live bands in our Township Cafe. Presented in association with Hackney Globe Trotter.
