In this dazzling piece, young actress Pam Ngwabeni tells how it feels to be black and gay in the township of Khayelitsha, near Cape Town. The various scenes about dance, sex and love are woven together with soccer and song, and framed with a soundtrack including Antony and the Johnsons and Lucinda Williams, coming to life through dance and performance. The production is an emotional piece, based largely on the true life experiences of Ngwabeni. It is also packed with humour which makes the issues covered in this one-woman show even more touching.
