Would you like to take part in a special international dance project based in South Africa? Would you like your opinion to matter and have an impact on the final production? Are you interested in cross-overs between spoken word and dance? Then this may be your thing.

Monday 24 October at 6.30 GMT or 7.30 p.m.*Dutch time) a direct internet channel will be opened between the Albany Theatre in London, the International Choreographic Arts Centre in Amsterdam and the British Council in Johannesburg to show an intermediate stage performance of the project Keuse/Choice that South African choreographers/dancers Mamela Nyamza and Jane Sekonya-John are now creating in collaboration with British spoken word artist OneNess Sankara. This past month they teamed up for the first-rehearsals stage of this work in progress. The live stream on October 24th presents the outcome of that initial work phase.

The vibrant heart of the festival is the Township Café, the key setting for the festival fringe programme. Here you can chat with friends, debate, eat, drink and dance. Every evening there will be post show talks with directors, actors and dancers. Furthermore there are musicians, singers, entertainers and spoken word artists to give the Township Café a really exiting and lively atmosphere. Enjoy this informal atmosphere by talking to the friends, actors, colleagues and other visitors. With the traditional South African snacks, drinks and meals you will really get a chance to feel a true and vibrant South African atmosphere. Free admission.
